This is so unjust.  And it shows how much things have not changed in Chicago and the USA.  Our prayers go out to Mr. Morgan and his family from my family and I here in Tuscaloosa, AL.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE?

On February 21, 1965 Malcolm X was assassinated.

On February 21, 2005, there was an attempted assassination of Mr. Howard Morgan, an eight-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department and a thirteen year career policeman for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He was shot 28 times by Chicago police officers. He was tried and found not guilty of four counts of attempted murder of a police officer on May 12, 2007.

On February 21, 2012 Judge Clayton Crane is scheduled to sentence Mr. Mogan after being tried a second time (double jeopardy) and found guilty for the attempted murder of four policemen.
