Here's some food for thought. We just elected the first African American President. It look hard work and much sacrifice but we did it! So, if the new President elect, wakes up the day after being elected as President, eats breakfast with his family, does a quick work out and then gets down to the business he was elected to handle. WHY ARE WE STILL PARTYING AND CELEBRATING???!!! If we truely elected him because we beleive he is the change prayed for, then why aren't we focused and positioning ourselves. I don't know about anybody else, but I want all that the promise has for me. Throwing my hands in the air, waving 'em like I just don't care is not why I elected our new President elect. Brothers and Sisters, spread the word! We have partied ourselves into a big mess in the first place. It's time to get busy because today we can blame no one but ourselves if our minds are not in position when it's time to cross over into the promised land.

The Urban Sustainability Authority (USA) is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors for the January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2011 term. The USA is seeking an experienced group of dynamic leaders. Directors are expected to wholeheartedly support Urban Sustain mission to educate, lead, develop, and advocate; reducing economic and environmental health related disparities for the low-income communities. Greetings, In response to Sister Crystal's last comment: I am definitely interested. My heart is pulled in the direction of teen parents. If there is any way that I can be of service in any way addressing some of the issues of stressed out parents, please feel free to reach out.

As the election draws near, we truly need a support network for our brothers and sisters who are parents. At this time we need to connect, support, and encourage one another. As I have learned from experience, many of the situations that engulf us are mere illusions created by the enemy to not only distract us from reality; but also to distract us from our children. When the storm of the momment passes, we will have neglected an entire season of our children's development that needed our attention and guidance. Thus, leaving a open unguarded door for the enemy to plant a seed in the minds and hearts of our children.

Thanks for bringing up anger and parenting issues. Unfortunately being a parent is the only job that requires no previous experience and you don't have to show competency in your work to advance and repeat your work! However, there are resources out here that are available, but I don't think that enough is done so that the masses are aware of them nor of how to take advantage of them. Additionally, some of those same resources don't take into account cultural, social, historical, economical factors that make OUR experiences, issues and solutions different from other groups.

All that been said, I'd like to offer what I hope is a step in the right direction for addressing at least some part of parenting problems we share and I need y'all's feedback...what if there was a way to help families deal with STRESS (and we know it comes from many levels) starting with the initial bonding and attachment process that begins at birth??? What if that process or interaction can be enhanced with very simple ways that can be taught to any mother OR father in a variety of settings??? What if these ways have ties to 'old school ways', and are proven to be effective???

WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN KNOWING MORE OR EVEN PARTICIPATING IN SOMETHING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HELP CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS OF OUR HUMANITY? Please let me know!!

you are right. that goes for fathers too. We have to lead by example and teach our children how to handle stress too.
