The Monroe Foundation, in collaboration with Kennedy-King College, and Dawson Technical Institute announce:

                                SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT BOOT CAMP 

This FREE 8-week small business development program, Is a community venture initiative that is open to low-moderate income residents of Bronzeville, Englewood, Englewood West, South Shore, Washington Park and Woodlawn.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN SOON                                                                                      

WHEN:  Wednesday Evenings June 6, 2012 Through July 12, 2012

WHERE: Dawson Technical Institute 3901 South State Street Chicago,  IL

WHAT IS THIS?    An opportunity to:

 •Become self-employed

 •Start a community venture

 •Apply for a $1,000 grant from The Monroe Foundation

 •Apply for a micro-loan from the South Side Community Federal Credit Union

 Requirements:

 •Proof of residency in target communities

 •Proof of income (TANF, Unemployment Letter, SSI etc.)

 •A letter of recommendation

 •Must complete ALL (8 weeks) sessions & assignments

 •Must not have past due tuition with City Colleges of Chicago
